University of Basrah Organizes Awareness Seminar on Hemorrhagic Fever
The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah organized an awareness seminar on hemorrhagic fever, a disease that poses a serious threat to both livestock and public health, in collaboration with the Provincial Veterinary Hospital.
The seminar aimed to raise awareness of hemorrhagic fever, its causes, and methods of prevention, as well as to highlight available treatment approaches.
The event featured a lecture by Dr. Kamal Al-Din Al-Saad, who addressed multiple dimensions of the disease, ranging from its history of spread to its health and economic impacts on the country.
Dr. Al-Saad also provided a detailed explanation of strategies to limit the disease’s transmission, along with the clinical signs observed in both humans and animals.
In addition, the seminar discussed prevention and control strategies necessary to safeguard public health and protect livestock from this epidemic.
