University of Basrah Holds Lecture on Soft Skills in Teaching for the Humanities
The Center for Continuing Education at the University of Basrah organized a lecture on soft skills in teaching for the humanities.
The lecture, which is part of the Teaching Methods Course for the humanities specialization, aimed to enhance university professors’ soft skills in education to improve academic performance and develop leadership abilities.
Delivered by Dr. Rafid Abdul-Jabbar Mohammed, the lecture provided a detailed explanation of teaching and learning, focusing on the application of these skills to foster self-learning among students, as well as to promote innovation and entrepreneurship. The session highlighted the importance of soft skills in shaping future competencies such as comprehension, analysis, critical thinking, smart decision-making, and logical problem-solving, alongside the effective integration of technology to achieve educational goals.
