University of Basrah Investigates Oxidized Low-Density Lipoprotein as a Risk Factor for Cardiovascular Diseases
A master’s thesis at the College of Medicine, University of Basrah, examined oxidized low-density lipoprotein (Ox-LDL) as a risk factor for cardiovascular diseases.
The study, conducted by graduate student Nargis Mohammed Ali, aimed to identify variations in the biomarkers (Sd-LDL, Ox-LDL, Hs-CRP) among patients with cardiovascular diseases, determine the correlation of these parameters with the incidence of cardiovascular conditions, and explore their potential in predicting the future risk of developing such diseases.
