University of Basrah Holds Online Workshop on the Role of Educational Guidance in Women’s Participation in the Electoral Process
The Center for Continuing Education at the University of Basrah, in cooperation with the College of Education for Women, organized an online workshop titled “The Role of Educational Guidance in Enhancing Women’s Participation in the Electoral Process.”
The workshop aimed to raise awareness of women’s political and constitutional rights, highlight the role of educational counselors in empowering them to make informed electoral decisions, and analyze the social and cultural barriers that limit their participation.
Delivered by Dr. Rafif Abdulhafidh Al-Riyahi and lecturer Sara Nasser Al-Subti, the workshop discussed the concept of educational guidance and its impact on supporting women in elections. It also reviewed successful real-life experiences and emphasized the importance of media and digital campaigns in broadening electoral awareness.
