Master’s Thesis at the University of Basrah Explores Chemo-Histological Properties of Ross 308 and Local Chicken Muscles
A master’s thesis at the College of Education/Al-Qurna, University of Basrah, investigated some chemo-histological properties of red and white muscles in two chicken hybrids: Ross 308 and local breeds.
The thesis, presented by Bidaa Jabbar Nabet Al-Saad, aimed to examine the impact of histological and chemical characteristics on the meat quality of the two hybrids (Ross 308 and local chicken).
The study included measuring the number and diameters of muscle fibers, estimating total protein concentration in four muscle regions, as well as analyzing the ratios of amino acids and fatty acids.
