University of Basrah Investigates University Professors' Use of the Table of Specifications in Developing the Achievement Test
A master's thesis at the College of Education for Women at the University of Basrah examined the extent to which university professors use the Table of Specifications in developing achievement tests and its relationship to their originality.
The thesis, presented by researcher Zainab Alaa Mohsen, aimed to identify university professors' use of the Table of Specifications in developing achievement tests and its relationship to their originality according to the variables of gender, specialization, academic title, and number of years of service.
The thesis concluded that university professors' use of the Table of Specifications in developing achievement tests was weak, that they possessed a good degree of originality, and that the relationship between professors' use of the Table of Specifications and originality was moderate.
The researcher recommended that continuing education units at universities organize training workshops for university professors to develop their skills in developing achievement tests and the Table of Specifications, and to instill a spirit of creativity and originality in their teaching practices, given their impact on motivating students to think creatively.
