University of Basrah Organizes a Workshop on Interpreting the Myth of Pygmalion in Greek Thought
The College of Arts at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on Interpreting the Myth of Pygmalion in Greek Thought.
The workshop aimed to introduce the myth of Pygmalion in Greek thought as a component of human thought in general and philosophical thought in particular.
The workshop included a lecture by Dr. Maha Issa Fattah, in which she discussed the struggles of men in shaping a world that suits their desires. She also explored the reasons for men's inability to shape the world they desire as a free human being, in love with beauty, and immersed in the warmth of love and the myth of Pygmalion.
