University of Basrah Holds a Lecture on Measurement and Evaluation in Education
The Center for Continuing Education at the University of Basrah organized a lecture on measurement and evaluation in education, as part of the third unit of the fifth Teaching Methods course within the educational specialization.
The lecture, which forms part of the Teaching Methods course in the educational specialization, aimed to familiarize trainee faculty members with the concepts of measurement, evaluation, assessment, and feedback.
Delivered by Dr. Baha Shubrum Ghdheeb, a faculty member at the College of Education, University of Misan, the lecture provided definitions of the concepts of measurement, evaluation, assessment, and feedback, while clarifying the relationships among them. It also covered key topics on measurement, assessment, feedback, and testing.
The lecture recommended the adoption of sound educational approaches in the use of measurement and evaluation tools.
