University of Basrah Organizes a Workshop on “Technology Incubators: From Idea to Enterprise”
The Department of Science and Technology Parks at the University of Basrah organized a workshop entitled “Technology Incubators: From Idea to Enterprise.”
The workshop provided a comprehensive explanation of the procedural guide for incubating projects, outlining the types of ideas that technology incubators focus on, particularly those aligned with the Ra’eda initiative. It also detailed the mechanism for submitting incubation applications.
The event included a lecture delivered by a group of specialized faculty members, who showcased selected student projects approved for incubation by a dedicated committee. The lecture also addressed strategies for enhancing youth capacities and fostering digital innovation by equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to take advantage of opportunities offered by technological advancements and the labor market.
The workshop concluded with an open discussion session that encouraged students to think creatively and put their ideas into practice. The role of incubators in supporting, evaluating, and developing these ideas was emphasized as a key driver in fostering an innovative entrepreneurial generation that contributes to national economic development.
