Master's Thesis at the University of Basrah Examines Positive Thinking and Its Relationship to the Future
A master's thesis at the College of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Basrah examined hopeful thinking and its relationship to self-determination among gifted high school students.
The thesis, presented by student Hassan Mansour Abdul-Latif, aimed to identify the level of hopeful thinking and self-determination among gifted high school students and to reveal differences between them according to gender (males - females) and grade (third intermediate - sixth preparatory).
The thesis revealed that students had high levels of hope and self-determination. No differences in positive thinking were found based on gender or grade, but it was higher among students in central schools. Meanwhile, self-determination did not differ based on gender or location, but it was higher among sixth preparatory students.
