University of Basrah Organizes Workshop on Performance Evaluation Forms for Faculty Members
The College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah held a workshop on performance evaluation forms for faculty members, focusing on the evaluation mechanism, point calculation, and required documentation.
The workshop aimed to clarify the main components of the evaluation form, the allocated points for each section, the percentage weight of each criterion, and the supporting documentation required for score validation.
Delivered by Dr. Aqeel Aboud Suhaim, the session explained specific terms in the form, outlined key concepts related to the evaluation criteria, and detailed the responsibilities of reviewers in verifying and calculating scores. It also highlighted the recent amendments introduced by the Ministry of Higher Education for the 2024–2025 academic year, which include additional benefits for faculty. Among these are the recognition of internal supervision, the introduction of incentives for outstanding faculty members through stronger evaluation scores, and encouragement to publish in prestigious international databases such as Scopus and Clarivate, in addition to promoting community service and volunteer activities.
