University of Basrah Organizes Field Visit to Calf Breeding Fields in Abu Al-Khaseeb
The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah organized a field visit to calf breeding and fattening fields in Abu Al-Khaseeb District. The visit aimed to monitor the health status of the herds and conduct comprehensive examinations.
A team of professors of preventive internal medicine participated in the visit, along with graduate and fifth-year students. They examined the animals, diagnosed and treated some disease cases, and provided recommendations regarding vaccinations against epidemic and endemic diseases.
This step comes within the framework of the college's efforts to protect livestock and ensure consumer safety. It also trains graduate and final-year students on field diagnostic techniques and how to deal with large herds.
