“Iraqi National Day: A Moment of Pride and Loyalty at the University of Basrah”
The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah celebrated the Iraqi National Day, observed on October 3, in an atmosphere filled with affection and a deep sense of belonging. The occasion is regarded as a cherished commemoration that embodies pride in Iraq’s rich history and honors the sacrifices of its scholars, martyrs, and heroes.
During the ceremony, Dr. Mustafa Saddam Ghaji, the Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs, delivered a speech in which he emphasized that the National Day represents a moment of pride and loyalty to the homeland, as well as an opportunity to express genuine patriotism. He further stressed that today’s students are the future generation entrusted with continuing the journey of development and contribution.
Dr. Ghaji added that this national occasion reflects the determination to move forward toward a prosperous and peaceful Iraq, affirming that the Iraq beloved by all is both the goal and the aspiration.
