University of Basrah Organizes a Seminar on the Occasion of the Iraqi National Day
The College of Education for Women at the University of Basrah organized a seminar on the occasion of the Iraqi National Day, entitled “The Iraqi National Day: A Symbol of Unity and a Bridge Connecting a Glorious Past with a Future of Hope.”
The seminar aimed to strengthen national identity by reviving Iraq’s rich heritage, historical and cultural legacy, and by promoting unity through cohesive geography and sustainable development for a brighter future.
The seminar, delivered by faculty member Marwa Yasser Siwan, discussed the role of the Iraqi National Day in fostering a sense of belonging and national identity, reinforcing unity, rejecting sectarianism, and encouraging peace, solidarity, and love among all segments of the Iraqi people.
The seminar concluded with recommendations emphasizing the importance of preserving peaceful coexistence and social harmony, taking pride in Iraq’s authentic values and principles, and building a promising future for younger generations — the generations that will continue to honor and celebrate this national occasion.
