University of Basrah Begins Preparations for Participation in the 2025 Reading Competition
The University of Basrah's Ibn Sina E-Learning Center launched its first advertising campaign for participation in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research's 2025 Reading Competition, organizing an online workshop to explain the book "The Problem of Culture" by Algerian author Malek Bennabi.
The workshop, presented by Dr. Hussein Mazhar Hammadi, included an explanation of the linguistic vocabulary and rhetorical terms in the book.
It is worth noting that the University of Basra achieved prestigious positions in the 2024 Reading Competition, placing sixth among male students and eighth among female students.
The book, the focus of the competition, seeks to explain and analyze the cultural crisis facing Islamic societies, proposing solutions and visions for rebuilding them and establishing a solid foundation for the renaissance of Muslim societies.
