University of Basrah Organizes Workshop on the Role of Translation in Cultural Convergence
The College of Arts at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on the role of translation in cultural convergence.
The workshop aimed to introduce the role of translation in understanding other cultures, as it serves as a vital bridge for the transmission and dissemination of languages and cultures among peoples, and to review the latest developments in the fields of science and knowledge.
The workshop included the presentation of several research papers in which the lecturers highlighted the importance of the translator's role in bridging the gap between diverse societies and cultures, pointing out the errors that accompany some translations from the mother tongue into other languages.
