University of Basrah Organizes a Workshop on Environment and Climate
The College of Science at the University of Basrah organized a workshop titled "Environment and Climate."
The workshop aimed to raise environmental awareness among educational staff at the General Directorate of Education in Basra Governorate, highlight the impacts of climate change on ecosystems, and discuss scientific methods for reducing pollution and promoting the concept of sustainability.
The workshop, presented by Dr. Dunya Ali Hussein, a lecturer in the Department of Environmental Science, included the participation of a number of employees from the General Directorate of Education in Basra Governorate.
The workshop recommended the need to activate applied research in the fields of environment and climate, disseminate environmental culture in the educational community, and encourage cooperation between academic and educational institutions to address environmental challenges.
