University of Basrah Organizes Seminar on Climate and Livestock
The Basra and Arabian Gulf Studies Center at the University of Basra organized a seminar on the impact of climate on livestock in the Hammar Marsh.
The seminar, presented by faculty member Hawra Ali Salman, aimed to raise awareness of the environmental risks and problems facing the southern marshlands, particularly the Hammar Marsh, and to propose effective sustainability strategies.
The seminar highlighted the most prominent current challenges facing livestock, including rising temperatures, shrinking water resources, and the shift of grazing areas to cities.
