University of Basrah Organizes a Seminar on the Physiological Disorders of Tomato Plants
The College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah organized a seminar on the physiological disorders affecting tomato plants.
Delivered by Lecturer Abdul Hussein Qasim Madi, the seminar aimed to explain that these disorders are non-pathogenic and non-infectious, as they are not caused by living organisms such as bacteria, fungi, nematodes, or viruses. Instead, they result from environmental conditions, various stresses, irregular irrigation and fertilization, and nutrient deficiencies.
The seminar also discussed twenty-one physiological disorders, outlining the symptoms, causes, and preventive measures for each.
