University of Basrah Organizes “You Are Stronger” Festival to Raise Awareness of Breast Cancer
The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah organized an educational and cultural festival titled “You Are Stronger” in observance of the Global Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The festival aimed to promote health awareness and encourage women to undergo early screening for the prevention of breast cancer and its complications.
In his speech, the Dean of the College, Dr. Jalal Yassin, stated that October is recognized worldwide as a symbol of breast cancer awareness, emphasizing the importance of organizing similar activities that help spread health education and enhance community awareness.
The festival featured educational segments and presentations of real-life stories of women who courageously and determinedly overcame the disease.
