The Natural History Museum Receives a Delegation from the College of Education for Women
The Natural History Museum at the University of Basrah received a delegation from the College of Education for Women as part of the scientific and educational cooperation between the university’s units. The visit aimed to introduce students to the significance of university museums and their role in supporting teaching and research activities.
During the visit, the delegation toured the museum halls and diverse exhibits documenting Iraq’s biological and geological diversity. Museum staff provided practical demonstrations on the preparation of scientific taxidermy models and emphasized the importance of documenting and preserving natural heritage.
The museum administration highlighted that this visit is part of its plan to enhance students’ environmental and scientific awareness and to reinforce the concept of experiential learning through direct interaction with educational exhibits, thereby developing students’ skills and broadening their scientific horizons.
