University of Basrah Organizes a Symposium on Combating Extremist Ideology
The Central Library and the College of Education for Women at the University of Basrah, in cooperation with Al-Kunuz University College, organized a symposium on combating extremist ideology.
The symposium, presented by Dr. Abdul-Aali Hameed Abdul-Aali and Dr. Hanaa Abdul-Nabi Kaben, discussed methods of preventing the spread of foreign ideas within societies, the role of legal institutions in monitoring their roots and movements, the concepts of extremism, and the relationship between extremism, violence, and terrorism. It also addressed the stages through which extremist thought transforms into hostile behavior, and the vital role of educational and cultural institutions in promoting moderate thinking.
