Master’s Thesis at the University of Basrah Explores Enhancing Intellectual Property Management Through Smart Technologies
A master’s thesis at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, University of Basrah, titled “Enhancing Intellectual Property Management Using Blockchain and Smart Contracts”, focused on developing a comprehensive technical framework to protect digital assets and intellectual property rights for electronic content through the integration of blockchain, encryption, and deep learning technologies.
The study, presented by student Sajad Abdul Kareem Mohsen, proposed a multilayer intelligent system that employs digital watermarking using the AES-LSB algorithm, along with a similarity verification model (RISS) based on ResNet-50, integrated with the FAISS library to accelerate infringement detection. It also included the development of smart contracts on the Ethereum network to automate rights management processes.
