The University of Basrah Council Holds Its Third Open Session to Discuss Plans for the Current Academic Year
The University of Basrah Council held its third open session for the 2025–2026 academic year, chaired by the University President, Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazem Al-Asadi, and attended by the council members.
The council discussed the academic plan for the new academic year and emphasized the importance of preparing the necessary requirements in line with academic quality standards. The president stressed the need to closely follow up on the implementation of curricula and to ensure the provision of educational resources for students across all colleges.
The meeting also included a review of the ongoing preparations for the central graduation ceremony. It was emphasized that the event should reflect the distinguished reputation and academic standing of the University of Basrah through coordinated efforts between colleges and organizing committees to present it in the best possible form.
Additionally, the council addressed several administrative topics related to improving performance within colleges, managing staff and student affairs, and implementing measures that contribute to enhancing the university’s operations and services.
At the conclusion of the session, the University President called for intensified efforts to ensure the success of the new academic year and the effective implementation of the approved plans, highlighting the importance of teamwork and collaboration in achieving the university’s goals.
