University of Basrah Publishes Research in an Iranian Journal Indexed in Clarivate and Scopus
Audai Muhammad Hassan Qassim, a faculty member at the Marine Science Center at the University of Basrah, published a research paper titled "Data Quality Recorded from the Commercial Transactions of Iraqi Marine Fisheries in the Northwest of the Persian Gulf" in the Journal of Fisheries Sciences, published by the Iranian Fisheries Research Institute (IFSRI).
The journal, which has a Scopus Q3 ranking with an impact factor of 1.8 and Clarivate, publishes research related to the aquatic environment, aquaculture, fish health, processing, and sustainability.
The research addressed the current status of fisheries in Iraqi marine waters and the reality of marine fishing efforts and fish production, which suffer from a complex set of problems that require a distinguished scientific effort to develop a general strategy to address them in order to develop and promote sustainability in marine fisheries.
