University of Basrah Organizes a Workshop on Drug Prevention
The College of Arts at the University of Basrah organized a workshop on the problem of drug abuse and methods of prevention.
The workshop aimed to raise awareness of the social, health, and economic problems resulting from drug addiction.
The workshop included the presentation of several research papers in which the researchers highlighted the danger of increasing rates of addiction among young people. Therefore, it has become necessary to study this phenomenon from various perspectives to determine its causes, effects, and ways to reduce it.
They emphasized that combating it requires collective responsibility and the combined efforts of the state, society, family, and educational institutions to protect young people from falling prey to this dangerous scourge.
