Two University of Basrah Academics Publish Research in U.S. Scientific Indexes
Two faculty members from the College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah — Dr. Sarmad Ghazi Mohammed and Dr. Zina Kazem Al-Younis — have published a scientific paper in the Plant Foods for Human Nutrition journal, issued by the global publishing house Springer and indexed in the first quartile (Q1) of international databases in the United States.
The paper, titled “A Critical Analytical Study on the Health Benefits of Chia Seeds (Salvia Hispanica L.)”, was published in a journal distinguished by an impact factor of 3.6 and a CiteScore of 5.8 for 2024.
This achievement reflects the ongoing scientific collaboration between researchers at the University of Basrah and several international universities.
