University of Basrah Organizes Scientific Seminar on the Linguistic and Accounting Implications of Accounting Terminology
The College of Administration and Economics, in cooperation with the Center for Continuing Education at the University of Basrah, organized a scientific seminar for postgraduate students titled “The Linguistic and Accounting Implications of Accounting Terminology.” The seminar aimed to enhance academic understanding of accounting concepts and terminology.
The event highlighted the importance of linguistic and accounting implications in research and scientific studies, enabling students to use specialized terms accurately in both Arabic and English.
The seminar, delivered by Dr. Suhail Abdullah Nasser, Dr. Abbas Abdulazeez Sayhood, and Dr. Muhannad Mohammed Abdulmutalib, included the discussion of one hundred accounting terms across various fields such as financial accounting, cost accounting, management accounting, auditing, and financial analysis.
