University of Basrah Organizes a Seminar on Smart Agriculture and the Sustainability of Soil and Water
The College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah organized a seminar titled “The Role of Smart Agriculture and Its Applications in Soil and Water Sciences Toward a Sustainable Agricultural Future,” attended by a number of researchers and specialists in the agricultural field.
The lecture, delivered by Dr. Haifa Jasim Al-Tamimi, aimed to clarify the concept of smart agriculture and its importance in enhancing food security and addressing the challenges of climate change through the optimal use of resources and the reduction of waste.
The presentation also reviewed modern technologies such as artificial intelligence, remote sensing, and drones, highlighting their roles in smart irrigation and efficient soil management.
