A Faculty Member from the University of Basrah Participates in the International Scientific Conference on Modern Agricultural Technologies
Dr. Arshad Talib Mohsen, a faculty member at the College of Agriculture, University of Basrah, participated in the International Scientific Collaborative Conference on Modern Agricultural Technologies, held at the College of Agriculture, University of Kirkuk.
His participation included presenting a research paper titled “The Effect of Adding Fresh Azolla on the Productive and Physiological Traits of Local Iraqi Ducks,” which aimed to study the impact of using different levels of the Azolla plant in feeding local ducks.
The study’s findings indicated an improvement in productive traits such as body weight and feed conversion efficiency, with no negative effects recorded on the health of the birds.
