The University of Basrah Participates in a Scientific Symposium on the Latest Advances in Breast Cancer Diagnosis and Treatment
The Dean of the College of Medicine at the University of Basrah, Professor Dr. Naufal Ali Al-Mubarak, participated in a scientific symposium organized by the Iraqi Association for Medical Research and Studies on the latest updates in the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer. The event was held in collaboration with the Basrah Health Directorate, the Iraqi Doctors Syndicate, and both the College of Medicine and the College of Al-Zahraa Medicine at the University of Basrah.
The symposium aimed to enhance awareness of breast cancer and present the latest developments in diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. During the event, Professor Dr. Naufal Ali Al-Mubarak delivered a lecture on the interaction between anesthesia techniques during surgical operations and their impact on breast cancer prognosis.
The symposium was attended by a distinguished group of physicians and academics, with notable contributions from faculty members of the University of Basrah. Dr. Rafid Abdul-Jabbar presented a lecture on a novel technique for treating axillary lymph nodes in breast cancer patients, while Dr. Saad Abdul-Baqi Abdullah delivered a lecture on triple-negative breast cancer.
