The University of Basrah Organizes a Training Course on Financial Accounting
The Center for Continuing Education at the University of Basrah organized a training course on Financial Accounting.
The course aimed to enhance participants’ theoretical and practical understanding of fundamental accounting concepts, including assets, liabilities, revenues, and expenses.
Delivered by Lecturer Hossam Ahmed Ali, the course covered multiple topics, including an introduction to financial accounting, the accounting cycle, and accounting records. It also included practical training on journalizing, posting, and balancing, as well as familiarization with the components of financial statements.
Additionally, the course explained widely recognized accounting principles, such as the accrual principle, matching principle, and historical cost principle, complemented by practical applications to strengthen participants’ hands-on skills.
