A Lecturer from the University of Basrah Participates as a Speaker in a Workshop on Water Guidance
Dr. Asim Nasser Mansour, a faculty member at the College of Agriculture, University of Basrah, participated as a speaker in the training workshop organized by the Guidance and Training Center in Basrah Governorate, titled “Water Guidance and Its Role in Sustainable Agricultural Development.”
The workshop aimed to discuss the current state of water resources in Iraq and their role in achieving food security, with a focus on challenges such as climate change, soil salinization, and declining water use efficiency.
It also highlighted the importance of agricultural guidance in educating farmers and adopting integrated water management practices, while reviewing the most prominent modern technologies for optimizing water use.
