The University of Basrah Organizes a Seminar on Utilizing Rubrics in E-Learning
The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Basrah organized a seminar on the use of rubrics in e-learning environments and virtual classrooms.
The seminar highlighted the importance of rubrics in assessing students’ performance within digital and remote learning settings, as well as their role in enhancing evaluation quality and ensuring fairness and transparency in grading scientific reports.
The seminar featured contributions from Dr. Alaa Tareq Abdul Wahid and Lecturer Sarah Salem Mohammed, who discussed methods for designing rubrics in Google Classroom, ways to use them for assessing learning outcomes, and provided practical examples demonstrating their effectiveness in developing students’ skills.
The seminar recommended the widespread adoption of rubrics in all e-courses and training faculty members on designing and applying them effectively within modern educational plans.
