University of Basrah Organizes a Workshop on the World of Ornamental Fish
The Natural History Museum at the University of Basrah organized a workshop titled “The World of Ornamental Fish: From Selection to Breeding.”
The workshop aimed to promote environmental awareness and enhance understanding of ornamental fish breeding as both a scientific activity and a hobby that contributes to psychological well-being and aesthetic balance. It also sought to support the practical and educational aspects for university students and visitors.
The workshop, presented by fish specialist Arkan Mohammed Jader, discussed the principles of selecting fish species suitable for home environments, methods of care and environmental balance in aquariums, as well as the most common problems faced by breeders and ways to address them.
