University of Basrah Launches the “Graduation Portfolio” Initiative to Enhance Students’ Employment Opportunities
The College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Basrah has launched the “Graduation Portfolio” initiative.
The initiative aims to empower fourth-year students and recent graduates to transform their research projects into professional achievement portfolios that reflect their skills and enhance their employability in the job market.
The initiative was introduced following a workshop organized by the Department of Computer Science, in cooperation with the Center for Continuing Education, and supervised by Dr. Hamed Ali Abdul Al-Asadi, Head of the Department.
This step aligns with the Ministry of Higher Education’s directions to connect educational outcomes with labor market needs. The College’s administration affirmed its commitment to expanding and developing the initiative to include various disciplines.
