University of Basrah Holds Seminar Guiding Female Students on Key University Challenges
The College of Education for Women at the University of Basrah organized a seminar addressing the most significant challenges faced by university students and ways to tackle them.
The seminar aimed to guide female students on pressing issues such as drug abuse, cyber blackmail, academic integrity, ethical conduct, and bullying.
The session, presented by several faculty members, covered various aspects: Lecturer Marwa Yasser Siwan discussed the causes behind the spread of drug abuse and factors leading to privacy violations and cyber blackmail. Dr. Dunia Salman Mohsen highlighted the importance of adhering to academic integrity in publishing, respecting university regulations and faculty, following the dress code, and fostering collaboration among students to enhance the educational process. Lecturer Mariam Kareem Yakout emphasized ethical and social responsibility, encouraging acceptance of others regardless of color, gender, ethnicity, or sect, noting that solidarity and cooperation contribute to the advancement and flourishing of education.
