University of Basrah Organizes First Olympic Swimming Championship; College of Dentistry Wins First Place
The College of Dentistry at the University of Basrah achieved a remarkable sporting accomplishment by winning first place in the University Olympic Swimming Championship, organized by the Student Activities Department, with participation from all university colleges.
Dr. Ahmed Abdul Ameer Ahmed stated that the college team secured first place in the freestyle relay, while student Ali Mahdi achieved top positions in the breaststroke, backstroke, and freestyle events.
Dr. Atheer Abbas Mustafa noted that the college led the overall ranking with 29 points, followed by the College of Engineering and then the College of Humanistic Education, emphasizing that this victory reflects the college’s commitment to supporting students and fostering a spirit of competition and excellence.
