A master’s thesis at the College of Fine Arts, University of Basrah, examined “Historical Succession and the Development of the Concept of Acting in Iraqi Theatre.”
The thesis, submitted by researcher Ayat Basim Jawda, aimed to explore the theoretical and practical contributions of different theatrical generations in shaping the concept of acting in Iraqi theatre.
The study utilized the theory of succession to understand the relationship between artistic generations, highlighting how each generation presents a distinct vision of theatrical performance.
The thesis concluded that theatrical succession serves as a key to understanding the interaction of generations with the art of acting, in terms of reproducing and developing it to align with their realities and aspirations.
