University of Basrah Organizes a Training Course on Biological and Chemical Safety in Research Laboratories
The College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah organized a training course for graduate students entitled "Biological and Chemical Safety in Research Laboratories."
The course aims to promote a culture of safety and security in laboratories and enable researchers to safely handle chemical and biological materials in accordance with international standards.
The course included a lecture delivered by Dr. Adel Qasim Jassim, who discussed the types of research laboratories and their management mechanisms, methods of handling microorganisms and hazardous materials, and highlighted the most prominent potential risks and means of preventing them to ensure a safe and sustainable work environment.
