University of Basrah Discusses Land Allocation for Its Employees with Shatt Al-Arab Municipality
The President of the University of Basrah, Prof. Dr. Muhannad Jawad Kazem Al-Asadi, along with the Director of the Scholarships and Cultural Relations Department—who also heads the University’s Land Allocation Committee—met with the Director of Shatt Al-Arab Municipality to discuss expediting procedures for allocating residential plots to university employees.
During the meeting, the University President emphasized the institution’s commitment to securing the rights of its staff and providing them with suitable housing in recognition of their efforts in supporting the academic and educational mission. He noted that the university continues to coordinate with relevant authorities to overcome administrative and technical challenges that delay the allocation process.
For his part, the Director of Shatt Al-Arab Municipality expressed his full readiness to cooperate with the University of Basrah and to provide all necessary facilitation to complete the allocation procedures in accordance with applicable legal frameworks. He also commended the university’s academic and societal role in serving the community.
This meeting is part of a series of initiatives undertaken by the University of Basrah to ensure that the largest possible number of its employees benefit from housing programs, thereby enhancing the social and professional stability of its academic and administrative community.
