University of Basrah Organizes a Scientific Lecture on the Molecular Characterization of Some Human Oncolytic Viruses
The College of Science at the University of Basrah organized a scientific lecture on the molecular characterization of some human oncolytic viruses in cancer patients in Basra.
The lecture aimed to identify the common and dangerous types of polyomaviruses, their molecular characteristics, and the most important findings of the study.
The lecture, delivered by faculty member Aqeel Abdul Ali Abdul-Sahib, included a discussion of the general specifications of polyomaviruses, their molecular characteristics, and the most dangerous types that infect humans, with a focus on other studied types and a highlight of the most prominent results obtained during the molecular study.
The study recommended conducting a study on other types of polyomaviruses and examining the association between these types and cancer cases and their prevalence in the community.
