A Book Published at the University of Basrah on Astrophysics and Oceanography
A new book titled “Tides Between Astrophysics and Oceanography” has been published by Dr. Adel Jassim Al-Fartousi and Dr. Ali Abdulridha Lafta, faculty members at the Marine Science Center, University of Basrah.
The book, consisting of 109 pages, includes five chapters that provide a general introduction to the solar system, waves, and the forces generating tidal movements, as well as methods for predicting tides and their occurrence in estuaries and rivers. It also analyzes the phenomenon using the latest modern physical theories and studies.
