University of Basrah Organizes a Symposium on Developing Teaching Skills for Artistic Activities
The College of Fine Arts at the University of Basrah organized a symposium entitled “Developing the Teaching Skills of University Art Activity Instructors,” as part of the college’s ongoing efforts to enhance the competence of academic staff and to promote the role of artistic activities within the university environment.
The symposium aimed to develop the skills of instructors involved in student artistic activities in areas such as cultural management and creative interaction with students. It also sought to elevate the quality of these activities and to encourage talented students across various disciplines to express their artistic potential.
The event featured a lecture delivered by Dr. Haider Saleh Dhashar, who presented a detailed discussion on the role of university instructors in artistic activities and the importance of their active engagement in identifying talented students within both scientific and humanities colleges. He also emphasized the need to train and supervise students in producing artistic works that enrich the cultural landscape within and beyond the university.
