University of Basrah Organizes a Symposium on the Role of Modern Technologies in Reducing the Spread of Agricultural Pests
The College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah organized a scientific symposium entitled “The Role of Modern Technologies in Reducing the Spread of Agricultural Pests,” as part of its efforts to promote sustainable agriculture.
The symposium aimed to highlight the challenges posed by agricultural pests to modern crop production and to introduce advanced technologies used for early detection and environmentally friendly pest control.
Presented by Dr. Muslim Ashour Abdulwahid and Dr. Layla Abdulrahim Banyan, the symposium discussed the new framework for pest management within the context of sustainable agriculture, emphasizing the importance of reducing reliance on chemical pesticides.
