University of Basrah Organizes Awareness Seminar on Breast Cancer
In observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the College of Nursing at the University of Basrah, in cooperation with Al-Thaqalayn Hospital, organized an awareness seminar entitled "Early Detection of Breast Cancer."
The seminar, presented by Dr. Numan Abdul-Razzaq, a specialist in the diagnosis of solid tumors and cancerous glands, Dr. Sajjad Salem Issa, and Dr. Hisham Hussein Abdul-Raouf, faculty members of the college, addressed the risks of this disease and the importance of women's role in society. The seminar also included demonstrations on self-examination and regular medical checkups, emphasizing that early detection can significantly increase the chances of recovery. Factors that may increase the risk of developing the disease were also discussed, along with preventative advice.
