University of Basrah Holds Awareness Event on Women’s Cancer
The College of Medicine at the University of Basrah organized an awareness event on women’s cancers titled “Pink October Corner”, marking October as the global Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The event aimed to raise awareness about breast cancer and emphasize the importance of early detection to increase the chances of recovery and effective treatment. It encouraged women to undergo regular screenings and provided support for those diagnosed with the disease. Early detection was highlighted as a key factor in reducing psychological stress for patients and their families, while also improving the quality of life during treatment.
