University of Basrah Organizes Scientific Symposium on Modern Aquaculture Systems
The College of Agriculture at the University of Basrah organized a scientific symposium entitled "Modern Aquaculture Systems."
The symposium aimed to highlight the importance of modern technologies in addressing the challenges facing the aquaculture sector, presenting them as scientific and practical solutions that contribute to production development and sustainability.
The symposium, presented by Dr. Jalal Mohammed Issa, with contributions from Dr. Salah Mahdi Najm, Dr. Ahmed Mohsen Moujar, and Dr. Sadiq Jawad Mohammed, covered several topics including the sustainability of aquaculture, fish farming techniques, continuous water flow systems (irrigation systems), and aquaponics systems for growing plants alongside fish.
