The President of the University of Basrah and His Assistants Meet with the University Presidency Staff and Affirm Their Commitment to Implementing Health Insurance for University Employees
The President of the University of Basrah, Dr. Muhannad Jawad Al-Asadi, along with the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Haider Khazaal Mihbas, and the Assistant President for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Ayman Saleh Neama, met with the staff of the University Presidency at the Al-Sayyab Hall in the University Presidency building.
Dr. Al-Asadi stated that the University of Basrah has achieved significant scientific accomplishments by attaining top positions in academic rankings and expanding its educational and service facilities. Among these achievements are the establishment of a new building for the College of Dentistry in Al-Zubair District and the upcoming opening of the University Hospital.
He emphasized the university’s commitment to ensuring fairness for its employees through the activation of a health insurance system and the timely disbursement of incentives in accordance with administrative and legal procedures, thereby safeguarding both their financial and moral rights.
For his part, Dr. Haider Khazaal Mihbas, Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, noted that the University of Basrah is one of the largest universities in the country and bears great responsibility, as it annually welcomes thousands of new students across various scientific and humanities colleges. He added that the total number of enrolled students has reached seventy thousand, distributed across the university’s campuses.
He further pointed out that the university has managed, within a short period, to secure leading positions in most academic competitions, including first place in the Innovation Competition.
Meanwhile, Dr. Ayman Saleh Neama, Assistant President for Administrative Affairs, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the University Presidency staff, encouraging them to expedite the processing of official correspondence and to optimize time and effort in responding to communications received from other institutions.
