University of Basrah Holds a Workshop on Applying for Academic Promotion
The College of Education for Qurna at the University of Basrah organized a workshop titled “Stages and Steps of the Academic Promotion Application Process,” with the participation and attendance of several faculty members from the college.
The workshop included lectures delivered by a group of the college’s instructors, who discussed the regulations governing academic promotions and provided a detailed explanation of the contents of the ministerial application form, as well as the stages and procedural steps involved in applying for promotion.
The workshop emphasized the importance of maintaining both paper-based and electronic archiving systems to ensure procedural accuracy. It also clarified the mechanism of supervision within the electronic system and reviewed the procedural guide adopted by the Central Committee for Academic Promotions.
The event concluded with a set of recommendations aimed at improving the mechanisms of the promotion process and avoiding administrative and technical errors in application procedures.
